I got my 3130 last week from the tractor place here in town. The guy that sold it to me came out sat to drop it off and spend about 2hr going over all the stuff I needed to know.
Cause this is my first tractor he hooked up the box blade and then the bush hog mower and even mowed about 3/4 of a ac. And then did my driveway about 450lf with the box blade.

So far I have mowed about 7ac of tall grass & brush and moved about 30 yards of dirt around and the 3130 has worked great so glad I got it.

Just need to learn to work the box blade keep diging to deep in places and looks like a wash board.

Ron.

I still use my box scraper for certain types of excavation work but I gave up trying to do a finished grade with it.

I did put it on removable wheels and in that configuration it makes a dandy driveway leveler. ....

I got my L3130 about 4 weeks ago and I love it. I have a loader and scraper box. I need to move a lot of dirt and will be looking into a dump trailer down the road. But for now, I have 12 large trees to drop, limb and clean up the mess. What is on the market that can attach to the loader and carry brush, limbs, etc and dump them on a burn pile? I have looked at clamp on pallet forks, just wondering if there is somthing else. Somthing simple or is making your own brush carring device the best way.

Tony ....

It's not cheap and you need a third SCV to control it but here is what I use for hauling slash/logs/etc. around. I've been dropping 20-25 trees a week and this grapple has been a godsend. I have about a thousand to go :) See my #1 pic. ....

Congratulations to both of you!!!! There is no easy cheap way to move brush for a one time thing. When using the box blade it is like using a dozer, a little and you go all the way, to much and you stop and wind up with a mess. ....

If you plan on burning or chipping the slash, dragging and rolling it across the ground is generally problematic. It won't burn very well if there's a lot of dirt mixed in with it and dirt will screw up a chipper in short order. ....
